Cookie policy

Version 2026-11-01-v3 · 1 November 2026

What we store in your browser or on your device, what for and for how long. It applies to Klusted, Pat, Melty Clocks Ads and the Melty Clocks website.

In short. Melty Clocks products (Klusted, Pat, Melty Clocks Ads and the Melty Clocks website) only use technical cookies and storage, needed so you can sign in, we can remember your theme and preferences, and the service works. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, whether our own or third-party, on the websites, the console or the apps. The free plan's ads do not use cookies either: they are chosen from your question at that moment, on our servers. That is why we do not show a cookie banner: the rules exempt strictly necessary cookies from consent. If we ever added others, we would ask you first and update this page.

1. What they are

A cookie is a small file that a site stores in your browser. “Local storage” (localStorage and sessionStorage) works in a similar way: it keeps data on your device without sending it to our servers. This page covers both together.

2. Cookies we use

NameWhereWhat forDuration
better-auth.session_token (over https it may carry the __Secure- prefix)app.klusted.comKeeps you signed in. It is read-only for the server (HttpOnly) and is not sent to other sites (SameSite=Lax).Up to 7 days, or until you sign out
Console session cookie (same format as the one above, specific to that site)console.klusted.comKeeps you signed in to the API console. It is created when you open the console from your account; it does not share scope with the app cookie.Up to 7 days, or until you sign out
klusted_cmp (over https, __Secure-klusted_cmp)klusted.com and the appAnonymous, signed identifier for the model comparison on the public website: it keeps your conversation with the comparison and applies its usage limits. It is created when you use the comparison and deleted when you claim the result in an account.30 days
enterprise_sso_binding (with a security prefix)app.klusted.com, only on the company sign-in pathOnly if your organisation uses single sign-on (SSO): it ties the sign-in process to your browser to prevent impersonation.10 minutes
Advertiser portal session cookie (same format as Klusted's, specific to that site)app.meltyclocks.comKeeps the advertiser signed in. Only the server can read it (HttpOnly) and it is not sent to other sites.Up to 7 days or until you sign out
Internal panel session cookie (same format, specific to that site)admin.meltyclocks.comOnly for authorised Melty Clocks staff; no user or advertiser ever sees it.Up to 7 days or until you sign out

3. Local storage on the web app and the console

These keys store interface preferences in your browser. They contain no passwords and are not used to track you.

The public landing page (klusted.com) stores no cookies or storage of its own, except the comparison cookie if you use it. The Melty Clocks website (meltyclocks.com) stores no cookies or storage of its own: the contact form is sent to our servers without cookies and the news box stores nothing on your device. Any interface preferences the advertiser portal keeps (for example, the language) stay in your browser and are not used to track you. The “No ads” switch and your area are stored in your account, not on your device.

4. Mobile and desktop apps

The mobile app keeps the link to your account and your preferences (such as the theme) in the phone's secure storage. The desktop app uses the storage of the web engine it includes, for the same technical purposes described above. Neither includes analytics or advertising tools, and neither uses the device advertising identifier. The free plan's ads are chosen on our servers. If you turn notifications on, your device registers a notification identifier (see the Privacy policy).

5. Ads, tracking links and third-party services

6. How to control them

You can view, block or delete cookies and storage from your browser settings. If you block the technical ones, you will not be able to sign in or stay signed in, and some preferences will not be remembered. Signing out of Klusted removes the session cookie.

7. Changes and contact

We will update this page if the cookies or the rules change. Questions: support@klusted.com (Klusted and Pat) or support@meltyclocks.com (Melty Clocks and Melty Clocks Ads).
