Ad policies · Melty Clocks Ads
Version 2026-11-01-v3 · 1 November 2026
These policies say which ads we approve and which we do not. They apply to every ad on Melty Clocks Ads and are linked from the Advertiser terms and from “Why am I seeing this?”.
1. Principles
- Truth. Everything the ad states is true, is in your approved sheet and can be proved.
- Clarity. No hidden small print. The price, if shown, is the real one (including mandatory taxes, unless stated otherwise).
- Identifiable. The ad never imitates an AI answer or a system warning. It always appears as “Sponsored” and with your name.
- Honest destination. The link goes exactly to what was advertised.
- Text and link. No images, no sound, no animated elements and no misleading calls to action.
2. Prohibited categories
They are never approved.
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Politics | Parties, candidates, campaigns, referendums, political causes or electoral advocacy, and ads on “current political topics”. |
| Health and mental health | Diagnosis, treatment, therapies, medicines, supplements with health claims, weight loss, clinics and tests. No ads are shown either if the question is about health. |
| “Miracles” | Miracle cures, “effortless” claims and guaranteed results. |
| Betting and gambling | Casinos, betting, unofficial lotteries, games for money and tipsters. |
| Adult content | Sexual content, dating for sexual purposes and erotica. |
| Weapons | Weapons, ammunition, explosives and accessories. |
| Crypto-assets and risky finance | Crypto, CFDs, leveraged forex, binary options, “guaranteed investment” and quick or high-cost loans. |
| Tobacco, vapes and alcohol | Products, brands and shops. |
| Aimed at minors or exploiting them | Any ad aimed at people under 18 or that exploits their inexperience. |
| Deception | Scams, pyramid schemes, brand impersonation, fake reviews, false urgency and “free” that is not free. |
| Illegal or harmful | Illegal products or services, drugs, counterfeits, hacking, surveillance of people, fake documents and academic work to hand in as one's own. |
| Discrimination and hate | Incitement to hatred or discrimination. |
| Competing with the AI | Ads that try to make the AI recommend something or that simulate an answer. |
3. Restricted categories
They require documentation and a reinforced review:
- financial services (banks, insurance, mortgages), only with the regulator's authorisation or registration and a risk warning;
- legal services or services of regulated professions;
- employment and housing, without discrimination;
- supplements that are not health products;
- training and courses promising income;
- NGOs and donations of a non-political nature;
- comparisons with other brands, only with verifiable data.
4. Destination links
- The advertiser's own domain, over
https, with no deceptive redirects or automatic downloads. - No pop-ups, no hiding the close button and no forced installation.
- It matches what was advertised (product, price, offer).
- It shows your identity (legal name and contact) and your privacy and cookie policies.
- It places no cookies or trackers before the person accepts them; that is your legal obligation on your site.
- It can be checked automatically and by hand at any time; if it changes to something not approved, the ad is withdrawn.
5. What data the AI may use
Only the data in the approved sheet: trade name, what you offer, the prices or conditions you state, the service area, the destination link and the permitted tone.
The AI may not:
- invent offers, prices, discounts, deadlines or results;
- claim anything about the person (age, health, financial situation, family);
- use anyone's personal data;
- quote the person's question as it is;
- present the ad as its own answer;
- promise what is not in the sheet.
If the person's question does not fit the sheet, the ad is not shown, rather than forcing a fit.
Sensitive data in the question. If the question touches health, mental health, politics, religion, sexual orientation, origin, trade union, sex life, minors, financial hardship or a personal crisis, no ad is shown.
6. How to report an ad
Users can use “Report this ad”. We review it and remove whatever breaches these policies. If you are an advertiser and disagree with a rejection or a withdrawal, write to support@meltyclocks.com naming the ad; we reply within 10 working days.
